Colour Inspires Learning

Kings Ash Colour Themes

Primary schools are full of laughter and wonder as pupils explore find new experiences and explore the world around them. Our designs for the interior of Kings Ash School in Paignton make both a metaphorical and contextual reference to the children's progress through the school. The themes of sea - foundation, coast - key stage one, countryside - lower key stage two and sky - upper key stage two, encourage the appreciation of the four main landscapes that create the setting for the new school.
Fruition have designed the interiors of over 20 school in the last eight years, establishing a reputation for using colour theory and contextual graphics to enhance the learning environment.

Since first developing specialist colour schemes for educational buildings some five years ago, we have received massive support from both teaching staff and parents, who have all been genuinely impressed with the results achieved.
Not only are our interior schemes improving the overall behaviour of students, but they are also helping easily distracted individuals to concentrate on their lessons, which is not something that’s easily achieved. One of our latest satisfied customers is Terry Hammond, Headteacher of St Luke’s Science and Sports College in Exeter, who is so convinced by the effects of our scientifically designed colour scheme that he’s recommending it to all Headteachers throughout the UK.
However, it’s not just the teachers and pupils who are enthusing about our work. Our strategically designed interiors are also helping to reduce maintenance costs within schools. If a school interior is dull, scruffy and inspiring, students do not feel the urge to treat it with respect. The students feel institutionalised and often rebel via graffiti and vandalism. We create interiors that are designed to make students feel like they are in an adult, responsible environment and they act accordingly. Something that PFI and maintenance contractors are extremely happy about.
