Geopark

In September 2007 the English Riviera received international recognition for its rich geological, historical and cultural heritage, when it became one of just 57 areas around the world to endorsed by UNESCO and welcomed into both the European and Global Geopark Networks.

Our work for the English Riviera Geopark, stems from a long and successful working relationship with the English Riviera Tourist Board. The Geopark Group is made up of representatives from several tourist attractions across the Bay and our work has been very much a partnership with these key stake holders. Our task was to develop a brand and associated marketing materials that not only explain what a Geopark is, but also gives it a consistent, dynamic and recognisable identity.

The Geopark is intrinsically linked to the local area. It’s the land and sea and rocks and indeed the whole stunning natural environment that surround us. We developed the colour palette to reflect the local flora/fauna and geology. The accompanying range of leaflets, banners, posters and 42” interactive touch screens helped establish the brand locally and provide a rock solid platform for launching it nationally and indeed internationally.

The touch screens themselves are something that we are very proud of, based on our own reachiDM software we have spent months developing. The fully interactive screens are now installed at a number of key gateway sites across the Bay and the technology allows the clients to continually update the screens with new text, images and films from one central location at their own convenience. Preformatted technology means that any updates remain consistent with the Geopark branding.
